That’s the message of Love the Beastie. Gross, outrageous, but pure fun in a book, Love the Beastie is a pull and poke, spin and play, and cuddle and kiss Valentine for kids and especially kids with pets.

Meet Paul and Judy. And meet their pet, Beastie. Paul and Judy used to be so mean to Beastie. They pulled Beastie’s hair, tickled Beastie’s feet. So, Beastie feastied! Good thing Paul and Judy learned their lesson (stuck inside the belly of the Beastie).

Written and illustrated by Henrik Drescher, Love the Beastie picks up where his irresistibly offbeat Pat the Beastie left off. Now Paul and Judy really are best friends with Beastie, and treat him with the love and respect he deserves. They go to the playground and spin on the carousel—don’t throw up! Brush Beastie’s gunky teeth (Gross!), and help Beastie play dress-up (ha, look at Beastie’s funny clothes). Then, at the end of a long day, they all cuddle together in bed. Ahhh.

So what if Beastie’s kisses are scratchy or Beastie farts in his sleep. That doesn’t mean a thing when you love someone.

DOG – the man’s best friend. They are very useful. They can provide security and assistance. And most of all they can show you love and care. But in order for you to acquire these special things that these dogs can give, you need to train them first. Training you dog’s behavior is a must, for this is for your benefit as well. The training should start as soon as the dog is in your care. By beginning your training early, you will start your dog off on the right foot to learning his rules and boundaries; he will know what the acceptable behavior is and what is not. The training must be reinforced and always remember that you are the master and not the dog. He should be the one following what you want and not the other way around. So, here are 10 how to’s in training a dog.

Socialize – Dogs, just like human, need to socialize. Once they learn how to handle being in a public environment and how to behave, he can then be introduced slowly to other dogs and allowed to make other friends by allowing them to smell and greet each other. Give them the time to play and interact with other dogs, and most importantly with you. You should know the attitude of your dog, just like knowing the attitude of your child. Basically, dogs are just like children who are still new in interacting with others. They may become shy and aloof at first. So you need to encourage them, bring them to place where he can meet new dogs and other people.

Sit– When on training, bring with you some treats that your dog likes. On sitting, gently pat the dog’s rear as you say sit. If he did, give him a treat. Then walk him a few feet and repeat the command while patting his rear. And give him some reward. Do this everyday until he learns to sit.

Stay – After the dog has learned how to sit, the next thing to teach is to make him stay. Using the lead, tell the dog to sit. After the dog sits, compliment him and reward with a small treat. While putting your hand the stop position, tell the dog to stay and gradually walk back a few feet away while holding the lead. Wait two minutes, then walk back to the dog and praise with a reward. Repeat this step gradually walking a full six feet and returning. After a week, drop the lead and command the dog to stay while you walk thirty feet away. Then practice walking out of sight.

          ]]>

Shake Hands- Once the dog has learned how to sit, you may now teach him to shake hands. Tell him to sit, and then grab his hand, say “Shake hands“, and shake. Immediately after shaking, feed him some food treat. Everytime he does it, praise him and say words like “Well done.” Keep repeating this process until he gets it.

Stop Chewing- Seeing your newly bought expensive pair of slippers marked with your dog’s teeth is annoying. Not having your cellular phone charged because it’s cut by your dog is disgusting. So for this not to happen anymore, the first thing to do is hide the temptation. Don’t let these things be visible to your cute creature. Provide him with other chew toys. If you catch your dog chewing prohibited things, say a big “NO!” and discuss the issue immediately for him to have the clue that you are disciplining him.

Stop Excessive Barking – Barking is the signature sound of a dog. That is why it is called a dog because it barks. But excessive barking could become annoying not only to your household but also to neighbors. You need to figure out why the dog is barking. Clearly communicate with your dog of what is acceptable barking and what is not.

Stop Digging Holes – There are dogs who just simply like to dig. Some dig for shelter, physical and mental stimulation; and some seek attention. To avoid the digging, give you dog a physical and mental exercise. Give him a proper shelter so that he won’t dig anymore. If you still catch him doing it, reprimand him and spray hose on him. This may be a negative approach but this could force him to stop doing it.

Stop Eating Dog Poop- This behavior is common to puppies but could be carried on until they grow old. Eating other’s poop is not only filthy but could also harm them. To stop this, feed them with well-balanced and nutritional food, more likely twice a day so that that they won’t feel hungry quickly and won’t have the urge to eat other’s poop.

Stop Food Aggression – Food is a temptation any man or animal could not live without. But if a dog snarls or growls at you when he wants that food is alarming. To avoid this, you should train and control him that he has his own feeding time and place. Preferably, it is better to feed him after you and your family had eaten. Do not let him eat with you. Do not let the dog win the food with his growling. He may become spoiled.

10. Stop From Jumping – An enthusiastic greeting from your dog can be flattering. But too much enthusiasm can scare some people especially to non-households.. Owners and visitors alike hate it when your dog unexpectedly jumps up on you, knocking you down, getting you dirty or spilling your packages. To stop the unwanted jump, initial training is to ignore them. Everytime they try to jump at you, turn back. Other method is to place your hand in stop signal against their nose and push them downwards. Or tell him to sit.

Whenever you are trying to change any behavior in your dog the golden rule is to be consistent! Make it very clear to your dog what is, and is not acceptable behavior.

Havanese dogs are great pets because they are very friendly and clever. Despite being small in stature, these dogs are full of energy and always ready to entertain and play. They they enjoy being around little kids so they are usually kept in houses where young kids are living. If you are looking to get a dog, consider a havanese dog. There are some thing you should know if you plan on purchasing a havanese dog for your family.

Make sure your train your havanese dog. Make sure you train your havanese dog when they are young. This will give you the best results in its training. Treat your havanese dog like your own kid with lots of love and patience when you are training it. Train your dog consistently so it knows which commands to follow. If you don’t have any know how with training havanes dogs, you can bring your new pet to training classes to get the best outcome.

When training your dog, be strict but not brutal. Puppies will always respond better when you are positive in your approach rather than when you are harsh. When you reward or punish your dog, do so consistently so it does not get confused over commands. When a dog does a good thing, reward it with a treat so your dog understands that this behavior is what is wanted.

          ]]>

Remember havanese dogs don’t obey very easily not because they don’t like to obey you but because they are free spirits by nature and don’t like to get tied down by anything very easily. Since a havanese dog has loads of energy, don’t leave it alone for long periods of time, as they will try to keep themselves entertained in your house. This might lead to a lot of unwanted destruction in your house due to its playful nature. havanese dogs love kids. It’s alright to allow your kids around them provided you set certain guidelines. These guidelines should always see to it that neither your kids nor your pet gets affected or hurt negatively in any way.

Don’t compromise on the quality of food given to your pet. Only feed it with the best quality food which contains all the important nutrients required by a growing dog. If you will try to save on the cost by buying low quality food, you will anyway spend the same amount as you will have to buy the food in larger quantities to compensate for the proportion of nutrients. Always take the help of a dog expert or a vet when you are not able to come with a proper food plan for your pet. When your pet havanese develops allergies, it can face problems on its skin and the digestive system too. Always note whatever symptoms which occur on your pet. You should then contact your vet and tell him in detail about it. Always keep the contact details of a competent vet as you will always need this when your havanese pet needs medical attention.

Use these suggestions and you will be able to care for your new dog very well. These procedures will help make sure the dogs live a long time and be very healthy. People who own pets develop strong attachments for their pets and nobody wants them to die young. Havanese dogs make for great and lovable dogs to own. Havanese dogs are wonderful with children, easy to train, fun, and energetic. They are great pets to own and if you are looking to buy a new dog, you should think about getting one of them.
You need to be aware of some things if you plan on getting a havanese dog for your family.

You need to follow a proper schedule when you train your Havanese dog. It’s easier to train your dog at a young age. This will give you better results in its training. Take care of your havanese pup like your own kid with lots of love and patience when you are training it.
Remember to be strict but not overly harsh in your training. Your dog will always respond better to positive reinforcement rather yelling. When you reward or punish your dog, do so consistently so it does not get confused over commands. When your pet does something good, reward it with a treat so your animal knows that this behavior is what is desired.

Use these suggestions and you will be able to care for your new animal very well. These rules will help ensure your pet lives a long time and be very healthy. Pet owners develop deep feelings for their animals and no one wants them to die young. Havanese dogs make for great and lovable pets. They are great with kids, easy to train, lovable, and energetic. They are great animals to have and if you desire buy a new dog, you should think about getting one of these dogs.
The powerful unit features innovative spinning side brushes that grab dirt and dust from corners and along wall edges, as well as two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up pet hair, cat litter, food crumbs, and other debris from floors. The vacuum sucks up the debris and deposits it into a large, easy-to-empty bagless dustbin, and its improved fine-filtration system traps dust, pollen, and other allergens inside the unit, reducing infiltration into the living environment. For added convenience, the vacuum’s cleaning head automatically adjusts to transition from wood, tile, and linoleum to carpets and rugs, while improved anti-tangle technology ensures it won’t get stuck on cords and rug fringe. If the unit begins to pick up a cord or carpet tassel, it will automatically reverse the direction of its brushes to extract the item. A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles so the vacuum automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. Because it cleans under beds, couches, and other hard-to-reach areas, it actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can. The vacuum also senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, and it uses built-in cliff sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs. In addition, invisible barriers can be set using the unit’s Virtual Wall system. To mark off-limit areas, simply place a Virtual Wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. The unit automatically detects the beam and will not cross it. The vacuuming robot returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery starts to run low. Its advanced power system c

You can stop a dog from chasing cat using training aids such as a head collar in the house but it takes time and patience and it is important that your dogs obedience training is up to scratch, particularly commands like, sit, come and leave it. In my experience if you are bringing a new dog or a new cat into your house the initial introduction is very important.

In my experience, cats are very well able to take care of themselves and more often than not the dog is the one who tends to come out of a scuffle with a scratched nose and a bruised ego. However, it is important to establish a hierarchy in your home where you and your family are your dogs pack leaders and the cats must also be above the dog in the pecking order.

          ]]>

One way of doing this is to always feed your cat before your dog, this will be a clear signal to your dog that he is bottom of the food chain. It is also important that your dog is suitably exercised every day so that he is not frustrated and full of energy as he may see chasing the cat as a way of releasing his pent up energy.

If your dog still persists in chasing the cat at every opportunity then make sure you brush up on his obedience training and you can use a head collar while he is indoors with a line which he cannot snag. When he chases the cat, you can stop him in his tracks and quickly correct this behaviour with a NO or an AH AH. He will eventually learn that this behaviour is unacceptable.

After initial tensions between my 4 cats and dog, mainly from the cats, the dog no longer chases the cats and they actually get on very well now to the extent that the cats have evicted the dog from his own bed and he sleeps on the carpet next to them. Unfortunately, the neighbour’s cat doesn’t get quite as good a reception and hurries through the garden as quickly as possible.

You can definitely stop a dog from chasing cat using training aids but it does require time and a lot of patience. If you want to teach your dog to be well behaved and obedient, you can get a comprehensive dog training handbook at http://www.thedogtrainingsite.info covering all aspects of dog ownership, from understanding your dog to problem-solving to complete obedience work.

Eoin McDonnell is an engineer who has had several dogs and cats over the years. He has learned the importance of obedience training with dogs as a benefit for both the owner AND the dog and establishing a happy relationship with your dog which will last his/her whole life.
Article Source

Faith and having the time for all

Before I move on to new information, I want to give you another idea in the form of my one basic thing. Your dog has to trust and have faith in you. Make everything you do with your dog into a amazing time together and have that in your mind. It is ok doing things wrong but follow this simple rule – you decide.

Time for sleep. Time for food. Time for play. Time for training and time for exercise.

Say No. Say Yes.

Even if you do not pay too much attention to all my tips, you will want to commit to this tip. Say No. Say Yes. Depending on what is right. For your pet, it is very important to clearly, and with no doubt understand what is wrong and what is right in its life. I know it can be heartbreaking for your pet if it does not understand what you mean. Say no and say yes. It is so easy to start with, two words for you.

Train your dog to be wide awake

My advice then accordingly is, stop the intensive training for a while, go out, and play. Build trust with each other. When outside together, and here is the best thing, let your pet be trained to look at you, be observant, every moment when you have to instruct your dog using different gestures.

          ]]>

Maybe passing the street or “sit” when you are talking to friends. If your pet is young or if you are still training your dog to cure your dogs’ separation anxiety, let it sit down often.

You train your dog to be alert by,

- moving your hand in front of it’s eyesight, get your attention. Have clear gestures that is easy to repeat for you

- Then move your hand up towards your head and eyes and

- Then show your dog to sit down, or any other [commands you like. However, start with “sit”

Gesture

This makes your dog trained to look into your eyes, always waiting for your directions, whatever it is. When successful give sweets.

When you know the technique works, teach your family to do the same when they take care of the dog.

Good thing in the future, then you will know that your dog will look into your eyes and observe your body language. A happy pet owner makes a happy pet.

Now, You know more about; How to train your dog and puppy to be Observant.

In addition to those tips, I’d like to share something else with you that I think you will find particularly valuable as you seek to cure your dog separation anxiety. I encourage you to take a look at this ebook, audio today and see what you think.
